From January - March 2017, the Level 5 and Level 6 Art and Design students at Glasgow Kelvin College have been creating new artwork in response to the original Weave Parkhead woven panels, and learning about the heritage of the local area. With support from college staff and the Weave Parkhead team, the students have designed and curated this exhibition of their own work alongside the original panels.
The new work produced incorporates both collaborative installation pieces and individual, personal responses to the original exhibition, with each exploring themes of Identity, History and Industry. |
